Complete Refit

We have just purchased a Cheoy Lee 44 Robert Perry designed boat and are about to begin a compete refit. The boat is currently in connecticut having a small amount of fiberglass work done, before we take her to Grand Bahama to begin the real work. I have done a refit before on a large power boat but this is my first large sailboat. I have contacts in Grand Bahama to get all the work done but will need advice on the equipment I am buying. Here is a partial list of the work to be performed and any help on the type of products that you have had experiece with would be helpful. Boat needs:
Generator, we are thinking a 6.5kw from Mer equipment
Windless, Maxwell RC8
Edson Marine Stainless steel dingy davits
Refrigeration, cool blue system
Inverter, Xantrex 3000
Batteries, Rolls Marine 8d
A/C, modular 18,500 btu system from Flagship Marine
Watermaker, undecided
New main electrical panel, undecided
If you have advice or experience with these products any help would be appreciated. We are starting a monumental task here and believe guidance will be key.

Hmmm... I'd be a bit inclined to buy the equipment here in the states and ship it with the boat. importing parts had quite a bit of duty attached to it a couple of years ago. That can be REALLY surprising.

I'd go with Ocean Marine davits rather than the Edsons.
Ocean Marine Systems - Davits, Rails, Lifts, and Platforms.

How are you going to get all that stuff into the Bahamas?

refit

Thanks for input so far, We are planning to bring all the equipment on the boat when it comes over and as long as it stays with the boat and leaves again there is no duty. Failing that I have someone with a bond who can import duty free. Interested why blue sea panels over others? Are ocean marine davits better than edson? Why
