Seems like standing water in the drain lines need to be removed...RIGHT?
The boat has been winterized by the yard where she is on the hard but can see water in the cockpit drains? How do I get the water out?

Can't understand why you still have water in cockpit drains if the boat is on the hard unless the drains are in the forward part of the cockpit and the boat is not level. How can you see the water? What kind of boat is it?

Sounds like somebody closed some thru hull valves that should remain open.

The boat is an Island Packet 31'. You can see the scuppers when you lift up the engine access hatch in the cockpit sole. The drains are at the aft end of the hatch and there is one to port and one to starboard. There is standing water in each drain pipe. The drain pipes extend to and exit the transom. I do not think there are seacocks where the pipes exit at the transom. The boat is on the hard and looks fairly level.

This problem intrigues me. Again need more info. Usually the drain hoses are black and you can't see what's in them. How can you see water in them? The obvious question, are they plugged with leaves or something? Have you tried flushing them with a hose? Got any pictures? The scuppers should be in the cockpit sole.
