Choosing a Steering Pedestal

I am replacing the corroded steering pedestal on my Wauquiez Amphitrite and am considering the Edson Vision II

Or the Lewmar Reliant

The folks at Edson have advised that a new version of the Vision II is coming out this december that will accomodate a Raymarine C90W chartplotter or similar sized display. I have not yet found what units will fit in the Lewmar pedestal. I like the concept of the edson unit as it allows a CP at the helm but not in an obnoxious pod that is in the helmsmans face.

Can any one offer experiences with either pedestals or reccommend another option? Thanks.
