Chemical bottom strip - Price?

Hello everyone

Can anyone please tell me what is the going rate for chemically stripping bottom paint off a 32-footer in the Caribbean (VI in particular if you want to be specific)?

Re: Chemical bottom strip - Price?

I used Peel Away once back in the late 90's on my Pearson 30. It took the better part of 5 gallons and delivered mixed results. It still required some scraping and sanding. If IRC it was over $200 for 5 gallons and was rather caustic. I see now days they have low VOC Peel Away II and nearly $200 for 5 gallons here in the states. Obviously, more In the VI if you can find it.

In subsequent years I just used 60, 100, 150 grit discs on an orbital sander. Way cheaper.

Hope this helps.
