Change to LED tricolor

I have an Aqua Signal Series 40 tricolor/anchor light with incandescent bulbs. I want to convert to LED. Must I change the entire fixture or can I just install LED bulbs in the existing? Grateful for any advice.

I believe you can just change the bulbs. There a lot of companies that sell replacement bulbs. Unfortunately in my case, some dirty bird destroyed the entire assembly. Bits of colored plastic all over the deck.

I believe I'm being charged $172USD for a complete replacement.

Yep, LEDs fit in the signal 40. But be careful when handling the lens. I just cracked mine and couldn't find a replacement. Apparently this model is not in production, forcing a new purchase. I suspect the lens is/was effected by UV, and became brittle after just a few years.

We changed ours but LED's can't take moisture the same as incandescent so they went out while voyaging in a gale.
