Caulking for Windows

I just replaced two surface mount windows (no frame) and want to caulk the the area between the outside window edge and cabin. What is the standard material to use ( please don't say silicone)? White would be the preferred colour.

I recommend highly using butyl tape where possible.

What about GE Silpruf? It is what was recommended by Sabre for the replacement of our dead lights.
