Cascade Toe Rails Need

I am looking for two 23' lengths of Cascade yachts aluminum toe rail material. I am removing the teak toe rails on my cascade 42 and going to Aluminum. I have enough for one side. Looking for new or used.
Thanks
Tim

Re: Cascade toe rails need

As Cascade has been out of business or at least moved their business. I can't find them. I'd see if you could get the specs and go around to the local fabricating companies and see what you could find.
You are doing what I intend to finish doing here in the next couple of months. Luckily I have the extrusions.

I've been battling dry rot under the toe rails.

kind regards,

Re: Cascade Toe Rails Need

Cascade Yachts They have the molds and parts for Cascade's.
The die for the toe rail extrusions got broke. SAPA in Portland who did the extrusions wants $5k to make a new die. I found the toe rails from a 29' that had been scraped and I found someone in Atlanta GA who changed out the toe rails on his 29'. So he is going to ship the old ones to me(at my $).
My cascade has teak raised toe rails that a PO put on. Short story is they leaked rotted part of deck and about 2' of shear clamp.
Are you using pan head or flat head screws into the deck? From what I have seen most use pan head screws. Where the screw holes are I think they leak. Last year I helped a friend redo his toe rails ( after part of deck and shear clamp replacement) and we counter sunk flat head screws.
So this is my Spring project when the rain stops. So I can go sailing for the Summer.
