have a leak from more likely the ruder post gland, interesting is only when heeling??
any ideas
can it be repacked on the water?

Repacking your rudderpost stuffing box without hauling depends upon where the waterline is. Ours is just above the waterline, (which is why we only found out it was leaking when we happened to be sticking our head aft to check on the steering cables and saw a fountain every time the stern quarter got picked up by a wave) so we can (and do) repack ours when it’s calm and the boat is floating on her lines. Sounds like heeling puts yours below the waterline, so that’s when it leaks. Give it a try with the boat at rest.
