Can anyone identify this fitting ?

This item was brought up by a dragger many years ago on the Grand Banks. Does anyone know what type of vessel it may have come from? It is marine bronze, large (see the 1ft ruler for scale), apparently had some sort of wear bar inset into the bottom of the fitting, a screw to keep the fitting closed. On the flat portion near the screw there are letters "KM3" and below that "oTk"

Don't recognize the fitting but that ruler brings back memories of grade school in the late 1950's. That's a relic too. Hang onto it.

Looks like a lip fitting for a dragger net. Scallop rig. Imagine several of these on the corners of the net as it drags along the botom. It is a wear item so the screw allows you to change them out. This looks like a newer one that parted from the rig due to a fouling od parted line from the outriggers or "doors" used to keep the net open. Nice find.
