Can anyone suggest a good plug&mold producer and a boatyard for custom yet budget construction?

The cost of a "good mold" is usually spread over the serial production of a boat. They are expensive to do well. You would do better to look for molds that may be still available from companies no longer in business. A friend of mine bought the factory mold for his boat when the company went belly up.
