C&C Landfall 48 Refit

Hello. Just wondering if anyone had done any extensive refitting of Landfall 48's.......our four water tanks are going to have to be replaced and that I think will require that the pilothouse roof be removed as well as the engine.

Anyone done this?

Thanks!

I don't know anything about your boat, but I ended up completly gutting the raised salon on my CT48.
The pic was before the floor framing came out...it was a big mess.
From what I've heard and read this is all to common.

Looks about right

Thanks for the pictures. I was trying to avoid pulling up the flooring just given the fact that it is in great shape. But it's a possible solution. OUt flooring is about 1/4 inch teak and holly laminate on top of a 1/4 inch balsa cored subfloor.

From what I can see it is possible to lift the pilothouse roof off; then extract the engine and slide the tanks into the space where the engine was and pull them out.

We sail Galadriel, our 1982 Landfall 48, in Georgian Bay, Ontario. If your tanks are stainless as I expect, then I think you'll be able to get the tanks out the companionway (if of course you remove most of the raised salon first). If you have any questions, just ask!
