Butterfly Hatches - Do Yours Leak?

We have three butterfly hatches - at least that's what we call them. You know hinged down the middle, open up like gull wings.

We have done everything we know to do stop the hinges from leaking and still they persist. Admittedly, it's not a lot but my quest is to keep a dry boat. Other than getting rid of them (can't afford that) has anyone had any success in keeping them dry? The decks are done and I'd like to make these as functional and good looking as the rest of it.

As always, thanks.
