Here's a question that just popped up: Should one slack the rigging before fitting the compression post? Actually, I don't even know if the mast is stepped in this case, but I'm curious what the procedure should be. (All of my masts have been keel stepped, so I'm inexperienced...)

Jim, the mast was the first thing to come off. I guess in my step by step re-assembly I forgot to mention #8...put the stick back up!
