Nice one Gord.

I have one of Bruce's books titled, Bruce Roberts "Boat Building - Steel * Glass * Wood * Aluminium." Copyright 1994 First Edition. Softback version.

It taught me alot of neat stuff about fiberglass boat building.

Roberts on boatbuilding

If you are building a Roberts design you should check out the discussion on skeg failures on metalboatsociety.com

Louis.

I was not intending on building any boat Louis.

It seems you have a very bad habit of jumping the gun alot on the subject of Bruce Roberts. And maybe a personel grudge. I was just talking about his book.

Read more carefully before you post your thoughts, Louis?

Roberts

I think his comment in his book that a skeg should be designed to fall of if it hits something is a belief that he would probably apply to his fibreglass designs as well as his metal ones.
Failing to warn people of this would be irresposible.
