Bronze through hull transducer for steel boat ?

We have been offered a good used sounder that has a bronze transducer. We originally had a plastic transducer. So can you use a Bronze transducer on the steel hull, or are there ways of keeping the two seperate. Or, is plastic a better option in our case ?

Lots of steel boats have bronze thruhulls and bronze transducers. Just bed it well.

Good afternoon. You have wide experience. Whether tell please it is possible to install bronze transducer in the steel hull of a vessel without an isolating ? We have no original isolating ring.

Yes it is possible and OK; having the isolating / sealing ring is nice but not essential. As David M says, just bed it well - with sealant of your choice - but one approved for underwater use
