Bronze handrail spacing

So I'm thinking of going with bronze handrails. Nfm sells the bases. They're like 25 a pop and I'm trying to stretch out the space between them as much as possible. Has any one used these? How far apart did you go? Any pics to share? Ohhhhhh bronze is so damn sexy on sailboats.

Tear the flesh right off your hands, if it's freezing.

Lots of work to keep shiny.

Other than that, go for it!, yes, it can look lovely.

Re: Bronze handrail spacing

What material will you use for the rail? The more closely the bases are spaced the stronger the rail will be.

Brass pipe or bronze pipe I assume brass is easier to find. Here is a link to the bases from nfm
