Are you trying to get off the old bottom paint
or strip the outer layers for a blister repair or just a barrier coat?
If the later after I researched the options I decided to go with a peal instead of soda blasting. Left a much smoother surface, easier to finish and much less prep work before applying the epoxy
barrier coats. Also some "experts" say the soda blasting leaves a lot of broken fiber and may promote new water
ingress into the layup
leading to more blisters
down the road.
Also a lot less messy than blasting.
If you opt for the peal I can recommend Brian at Yachtbottoms. He works out of NE FL and could probably do the work at Green Cove.
