Bottom Paint

applied some epaint bottom paint on my new 26ft cat I just built.First a couple of coats of blue 3coats where needed then decided to change to black so 2 more coats and 3 again where needed. The boat was put in a river near where I live and sat for three weeks.I noticed the blue bottompaint was starting to appear.now 3mths later and no more than 20miles of sailing about 1/3rd of the black has come off and in some areas the blue also.Called the supplier and he said its probably happening because Im in a river that flows in and out even tho barely where the boat is, and its as if you were sailing day and night. So he said.Im really disappointed.Im going to try Trinadad.Any feedback would be appreciated..Jim

Re: bottom paint

Use bottom paint by Pettit. It's expensive, but worth it in the long run. Mauritz

Did you mention to the supplier that you have up to 6 coats of paint on the boat? Paint failures like this are usualy the result of poor prep and/or application.
