Bomar hatches used on Tiara's
I have been wondering about something I saw a while back. I found a store that sells bomar hatches that were rejected from Tiara Yachts. Tiara has a note on each hatch why it was rejected and it is offen for a small scratch that would not bother me. My question is are the hatches used on a tiara power boat good to use on a sail boat? I looked for information about Bomar but I came away with the same questions. The Tiara hatches look like they would work and the price is less than half of new and they are great looking hatches.

Depends on which of their hatches they are. My guess is though probably not as most powerboat hatches are not designed for 'Ocean' use. Their use is not for the amount of green water that has been know to go over a sailboat deck. I would check their web site.
