Black mold on spreader?

I think I have a mild case of black mold on my wooden spreader. The PO let the varnish go too long, and once I got all the varnish off, there is what looks like black mold on some sections. There was a decorative strip that was totally ate away from this cancer, but the main spreader is structurally fine. It just has some surface mold. I wiped some bleach on it and have set them out in the sun today. Any other suggestions on killing this before the Cetol goes on?

Re: Black mold on spreader?

Ok, I sanded more of the black off, then hit it with Borax-Bleach water and more sun today...
