Bilge pump line

I think the bilge pump line has broken or come off the through the hull fitting. This is a 1983 Catalina 27. I'm trying to find access to the line so I can replace it. Anyone know how to access the through the hull fitting?

That thru Hull fitting should be above the waterline.
Any idea where it is?
If not, it may be grouped with other above the waterline thruhull fittings.
Try to locate it.
Could be at the transom, on the side, usually not at the waterline.

Re: Bilge pump line

make sure there is water in bilge.
get video cam ready. turn on pump
video the pump in action and video the outflow from hull.
then post all for us to critique.

catalina 27 may have stern mounted outflow thruhull fitting.
that would pass under cockpit to transom and there will be a lovely plastic looking or bronze ring where it exits.

please video the pump in action so we can properly critique the issues and your videography. you know that will happen.
if you wish privacy , send pm.

there are a few things that could be the issue. each one has different water flow patterns.

If the line is broken to the thru hull as you say, you won't see where it comes out.
You may hear it running out somewhere in the boat, also look for where the water comes from, lockers ect.
And yes, you'll need to have water in the bilge to pump.
Video would be good.

Re: Bilge pump line

Thanks for the help.
My grandson helped and we followed the line to the manual bilge pump. He moved the handle down which opened the line to the transom. That was the problem.
