Best cable connections for Steering system

Hello experts!

Im changing the cable on the steering system. Its a wheel steering with pulleys and quadrant. On the wheel side, connecting the belt, the cable has pressed terminals. on the quadrant side, it has a simple screwed connection linking the cable loop into the quadrant.
Two questions:
1. Is a Nicopress, instead of a more expensive pressed terminal, reliable for this purpose?
2. Was that screwed type connection being used so the cable could be adjusted. Or I can go Nicopress both ends?

Tks a lot!

It has to be adjustable. The cable will stretch a little and you need to take up the slack. Mine has screw eyes on the quadrant with Nicopress eyes in the screw eyes. Swage terminals on the pedestal ends. I suppose you could use Nico's on both ends if there's room for them in the pedestal. They're a lot thicker than the swage eyes.
