B&G Instruments

I have a new to me sailboat with B&G instruments (h1000 series). There is no audible depth alarm that I can find and wish to add one. Can anyone advise on how to add to B&G or if there is, in fact, and audible alarm there somewhere and I just haven't found it. Thanks

We have some vintage 1990 B & G instruments. What is mind blowing to me is that they STILL charge $1400 for a simple monochrome 20/20 display - no buttons or anything. In other words, IMHO, I wouldn't sink additional $$ into any B & G product, unless you are really playing in the upper-end.

The manual says it should have an alarm:

Bob, contact Mr Myles at: Myles Marine Electronics, Inc. - An Authorized Service Dealer for Brookes & Gatehouse and Stowe.
I have B&G with some problems (lightning strike in Bahamas) on my boat and got help at Myles Electronics.
Perhaps, check your manual. I am sure that B&G depth sounder has built in alarm. Mine has.

My H3000 has a separate alarm module that is plugged into the processing unit, The advantage is the alarm itself can be sized and positioned where it can be heard.
The h1000 may be the same, if so it is easy and cheap to fit an alarm.

Audible alarm

Thank you for the replies. Yes the h1000 has an alarm suite. The problem I am having is that it is only visual with no apparent audible alarm. If the add on for the h3000 series works, that would solve things.

Still on the search

Thanks again for information - getting closer. An audible alarm can be added to the h1000 system. It requires a h1000 universal interface. Now the quest to is find one of these discontinued units. Does anyone on the network know a source? Thanks
