Awlgrip

So I've finally gotten into the stowage area on the other side of the engine room, between the aft-berth and the galley. Great spot to store things that you'll never need again because you'll have to climb over the engine and into a box that looks like only houdini could escape from.
In there, waaaaay in the back I found two gallons and 1 quart of Awlgrip, a half gallon container of Awl Cat brushing topcoat converter, 2 four litre containers (partially used) of Fibre-Tek pour-in-place polyurethane foam and one "mystery can".
I doubt these cans of chemical compounds have seen the light of day for over ten years and most (maybe all) of them have been opened. I'm only really interested in the Awlgrip because the price tag on the stuff, so I'm wondering if it would still be any good.
Is there a lifespan to this stuff or could it still be useable?

I have used Algrip that as opened and then stored for years and it as fine. open the can and stir it and if the consistency and color look god, you are probably OK. You might even mix up a batch and test paint something. If it flows and dries OK then you are good to go. The Awlcat may have hardened in the container. Chuck

Ok great. I was hoping to hear that. I was looking at some 1 gal pails in the store a week or so ago and the price made me go "YIKES"! Then I got some really good advise from the owner of the store. He said, "Don't think of $1000.00 as money, think of it as boat units. It's much easier that way."
But it's always good when you can save about a quarter of a boat unit too.
