Approximate cost for revarnishing interior

Im looking at buying a 40 foot sailboat with teak interiors from 1981. The wood looks tired and in need of a revarnishing job. Anyone have an idea of a ballpark figure for such a job? I just want to know more or less how to budget for it when looking at what price to offer.

Re: Approximate cost for revarnishing interior

In the USA hourly rates for labor can run 85 to 110 per hour or more. This could take you 3 or more weeks of time and material.

Usually, refinishing an interior is something that is better handled by the new owner themselves over time. Really, unless your boat from 1981 has a near perfect interior you will probably find more pressing needs that will deserve your money and attention.

IMO - don't factor the refinish into your buying decision.

Where we are, this is about 15k. This includes all work and materials. 2 weeks of work.
