Anyone used Chugoku or Seajet antifoul on an alloy boat?

We are looking at antifouling our boat in Malaysia and have been offered this brand of antifoul. I'm not familiar with it. We are told it is a brand widely used through Asia, made in Japan since the 1920s. I was wondering if anyone had used it and could comment on how it worked? Especially if you have an aluminium boat.

Thank you for your help.

I have used Chugoku TFA 30 on my glass mono & in my opinion its the best I have ever had.
My friend has an Alu cat & he is happy as well with TFA 30.
In fact we are building an alu cat just now in the Philippines, unfortunately TFA 30 is not available here.

Thank you for that. So, is TFA 30 part of the Seajet series which is their range for leisure craft? I can't see it in their list. Or is it one of their range for commercial vessels? Do you mind if I ask why you chose that particular one?

The antifouling paints for aluminium boats need to be specific for the aluminium structure.
There needs to be a compatable expoxy primer applied first, with most products.

Be careful that any antifouling paint used is approved for aluminium.

Seajet is a large company that makes many different types of paint and have not used any of their products.

Likewise Chugoku, although I have never even heard of them.

Thanks. We have owned an aluminium yacht for 7 years and have used a number of different antifoul products. However, the ones we have used are not available in Malaysia.

Chugoku is the company that makes Seajet paints.

We have bought the TFA 30, recommended by friends, in Phuket.
There is a commercial Aluminium Charter boat in Phuket, he is using TFA 30 on his cat as well.
Chugoku Seagrandprix is available in Cebu, but not TFA 30.
