Boy am I looking forward to it too!
Right now it looks like Nov 10th is the retirement date. I'll run out my leave leading up to that. That'll make Sept 11th my last day I work.
Lori's worried about me having nothing to do during the winter. I told her I'm buying a drum kit and me and the ole' Tom Cat are starting a band!

There are days when I feel I have more to do then when I was working.  Winters are for those little indoor items one has been putting off for years. And building up the inventory for the weather break and back on the main course.
But at least one can can set their own schedule, or even cancel it if they like. Or just say "screw it" and do nothing. But that would be a day like today. Rain and windy, just above freezing. One of those fireplace kinda daze.

Well no weather excuses to keep me out of the boat shed so back in we (Boots and I) went! After some clearing up and reorganizing it was back to the boat. I have a small problem to figure out, a gap between the hull sides and the bulwarks panel.
The gap is about 3/8" when there shouldn't be any. I just have to figure out how I'm going to eliminate it before I glue it to the sides. I'm thinking a bunch of kerfs cut part way throug the panel. If I try to force the bulwark panel to the hull side it flares out way too much. The other side is the same.

It would appear that the developed curvatures of the two meeting edges have gone a little awry.
Maybe secure the bulwark panel at about the half length position and coerce toward the bow and stern?
this may give you an idea of where you can spile or recut one or both edges.
One of the disadvantages of flat panels on compound curves, but we all have faith in you.
