But I have been down for the count for almost 3 days. Inner ear infection. Right side deaf as a post. Tinnitus and pain. On antibiotics now. Shouldn't take too long to clear that up. Managed to haul my butt out to the shed today before the winds kick up. Didn't really feel like crawling around the bottom of the boat finishing the bedding & fillets for the stringers so I decided to lay out a layer of glass on the two aft bulkheads.

These are just offcuts laying around and I had planned to use them for just this purpose. The two aft bulkheads being solid won't hurt from being totally enclosed in glass.

Plenty of neat epoxy rolled on and soaked up by these panels.

Gooped & peel plied. They look a little dry. Dunno why. I dumped extra epoxy on there and squeegeed them well. Gotta keep my eye on them. I did lift the peel ply and the glass underneath is thoroughly soaked through. Could just be that cheap peel ply. I'll be glad when it's gone.

Tomorrow I'll flip those panels over and do the other side.

Good lesson on the aramid. Only if it's buried deep; which kinda defeats the purpose of abrasion resistance, doesn't it? It's an expensive gimmick. Wouldn't own a boat with Kevlar in it. I like boats which are possible to repair!

I feel for ya Rick... I've got 24-7 Tinnitus... Sometimes it's simply debilitating... Hope ya feel better soon...

Sometimes I find deafness can be a good thing...

Here's a video from a builder in Turkey who has been producing the TW28 design for a few years. They also stretched the hull 2' from what I can tell the extra length went into the forward cabin space.

Ours will be approx. 1' 5" longer and the stretch is in the main cabin space.

I'm finished building for the season. Brought in the epoxy from the shed yesterday. I may tinker a little here and there but for the most part the building season is over.

I got done pretty much what I wanted to get done this year. Had a slow start to the season but eventually hit my stride about August!

Just wanted to thank everybody who's looked in on my posts here and our blog site. I greatly appreciate the feedback & camaraderie that goes on. It really helps keep the enthusiasm for the project alive!

We'll see you back in the spring!

We had white sh*t falling from the sky yesterday. High temp was 27 F! Brrrrrrr!

Hard to think that 'season 5' is now over and still working on the hull.

Back to work in 2 weeks to refill the project kitty. Hopefully there'll much more progress next year.

Stand down.

Hi Guy's

I've recently join this forum so I'm new to the trade, I've recently acquired an Endurance 35 1981 Ketch, the boat has been sitting in the water for 4 years and is slowly deteriorating it's a project for sure, the previous owner passed away and his daughter inherited the boat and left it to deteriorate. I've obviously got it at a deal !!!! So what I hoping to get from this forum is advice and guidance while I take on this project and bring the girl back to life, she has teak deck's which require replacing and Perkins 4.108 engine.
If anyone guide me or advise me I'd appericate this.

Hi Madrugada, you may not get a reply here so I would suggest you fresh a new post in this forum with a title that makes sense and better still a photo of the boat.

What did I miss? What did I miss? Anything exciting? Did you guys miss me?

Finally back in the boat shed for another (short) season! I was working for the gubment again till the end of May which cut into my boat building season by a month. I'll finish up this year around the end of September as I have to fly out to Grande Prairie AB to attend the arrival of my first grandchild!

So in the mean time I got some stuff done. Leveled up the boat. Located the main bulkhead coordinates and started on the stringer puzzle.
