Amerloc 2 - How Long Between Coats ?

Last night I put the first coat on the inside of keel potable water tank. I got up this morning to apply another coat and the stuff is still a little tacky. How long does it to cook off? What is the recoat time? Thanks

Re: Amerloc 2 - How Long Between Coats ?

the time depends on the temperature...the warmer it is the faster the cure time...the colder it is the longer it takes. the temperature makes a really big difference.

Re: Amerloc 2 - How Long Between Coats ?

The Recoat / Cure Time is 3 Hours* @ 70°F (21°C)
http://www.norkan.com/pdfmanuals/Ame...Amerlock-2.pdf

Recoat/Topcoat Maximum time @70°F (21°C)
Amerlock 2/Amerlock 2 - 1 month
Amerlock 2/Amershield or 450H Series - 1 week
Amerlock 2/Amercoat 5405 - 1 day
Amerlock 2AL/Amerlock 2AL - 2 weeks
Drying times are dependent on air and surface temperatures as well as film
thickness, ventilation and relative humidity. Maximum recoating time is highly
dependent upon actual surface temperatures - not simply ambient air temperatures.
Surface temperatures should be monitored, especially with sun-exposed
or otherwise heated surfaces. Higher surface tempertures shorten the
maximum recoat window.
Note: If maximum time is exceeded, roughen surface. For topcoats (finish
coats) not listed, see Product Data sheet for specific topcoat time limitations.
