Its that time of year for the usual touch-ups. I am refurbishing my hatches and checking if anyone knows new or better methods. In the past I have done most methods at one time or another. The
aluminum frames seem to pose some issues. The easiest was simply sending to a guy who stripped and re-anodized. In a pinch, I have painted. Recently I have powder coated, but my 'junk'
oven died and I think using the kitchen to cure the powder coating my not go well. My biggest problem is prepping. I don't think
sanding is best, and haven't found a good stripping method (other than a
commercial setup).
Any thoughts?
