Additives for Hull Paint

Hi all,

Looking for some input; I'm re-doing my hull paint, and common additives that you put into your paint here are:

Cayenne Pepper
Tetracycline

I used Cayenne Pepper 2 years ago and it worked well - the barnacles still grew, but you could brush them off with your hand.

Wondering if anyone else has any suggestions on products they've successfully added to their hull paint?

Thanks...Steve

I always prescribe Tetracycline to reduce the incidence of acne & syphilis (etc) in my bottom fouling orgsnisms. It seems to work.

there is no science that any of these additives do anything to improve the paint.

The only additive that works is a bottle of tin booster - not sold in the US but made by Sea Hawk Paints in Clearwater, Florida
