Adding Cabin to Deck

Hi guys ,
Would anyone have any knowledge of a site with illustrated pics
Of step by step instructions of adding/constructing low profile cabin
Onto flat deck yacht , am also replacing entire deck/floor,
With present flat deck placing cabin how do I support ?

I suggest you hire a Naval architect to design it for you. That way you will get it right and the NA will do the stability calcs to determine if adding this weight will adversely affect stability. Plus that the NA will do the structural integrity calculations. What you are requesting is very specific to the particular boat, so you probably won't find any general plans or instructions for doing this.

I like Ike...but I'm a big fan of sorting these things out with out having to hire a Navel Architect...unless you have very deep pockets....and little construction or engineering scene.

There is a concern, as pointed out by Ike, that you could change the characteristics of the boat so much that it will no longer be stable..

I suggest visiting a boat yard and having a look at some cabin construction methods/details.

Boat Joinery & Cabinetmaking Simplified by Fred P. Bingham is a great book that gives you exactly what you want. It even shows photos of how he bumped up his cabin top.
