If you don't have a back stay in the road, to re balance the rig after adding sail up front you could add some roach to a new mizzen sail. You would need to be careful how you did this so the back end didn't look like a Volvo 70 and the front end like a J boat.

But if it was done right this would solve the balance problem, the photo above with the sail above the main sail and forward of the mizzen would do the same thing but to a lesser degree.
