Wow. just wow. How in the world does 120v vs 220v change the amount of greenhouse gas emitted? E=IR and P=IE. P is P. Burning coal, splitting atoms, spinning an alternator, or gathering sunlight - power is power.

Wow.

Just try P = (I * I)* R and do not get too much a fix on the amount of greenhouse gas emitted but on the amount of heat produced.

That is incorrect in most boats. This is because in most boats under 50ft the AC wire gauge is determined by ampacity, not voltage drop. The relationship between ampacity and gauge is independent of voltage.

Another story is that for a given *power* requirement, 120V will require higher current than 240V.
