A Good Splicing Guidebook

Hi, can anyone recommend a good guide book to wire splicing or maybe rigging splicing and a source for rigging tools. I'm thinking in particular of galvanized wire for rigging. Thank you very much.

Pay a visit to Brian Toss's web site. Lots of info and a forum there, he's written a few books, and sells some splicing tools etc too.

Quote attributed to Mr Toss by the former Bosun of ELISSA (on which Toss worked)...conveyed to me as he spiced wire rigging:

"Any fool can splice wire rigging"

...think about that one for a moment...the conotation was not that its easy.
