1/4" x 48" Round Batten Source?

We broke an upper batten on our last passage. I cannot find a source for a fiberglass 1/4" round batten for my mainsail online or with the local sailmaker. Any ideas? Best, Rognvald

There are many more industrial supply places that would have G10 (garolite). Shipping 48" easily kills the deal though.

Thank you very much for this resource! It should certainly work. I'll keep you posted if I purchase it. We're planning to l leave tomorrow or Thursday for the St. Lawrence. I might have to get it later. Best, Rognvald

One oddball source next time may be suppliers of kite making materials. The ribs in delta wing kites are similar to your requirement. May be too lightweight, but available as carbon fiber tubes. Sorry, no link.

Re: 1/4" x 48" Round Batten Source?

After further research, the product is Garrelite which is G10 fiberglass made in rod form. It can be priced online for significantly less than your local sailmaker's "battens." I hope this helps. Best . . . Rognvald
