Yanmar Motor Mount Replacement

Found the right/rear engine mount broken during pre-cruise checks prior to a coastal trip SF Bay to Half Moon Bay in northern California. Does anyone know anything preventing me from removing and r

eplacing the broken mount?

FYI, it showed no prior signs of fatigue (no visible cracks).

The engine is a 11 year old Yanmar 4JH2-HTE 76 HP turbo w/ intercooler w/ 2100 hours on it.

Thanks
Pat W

This looks like it bolts on to the back of the engine. Perhaps the mount can be replaced or easily fabricated.

Re: Yanmar Motor Mount Replacement

That's not the mount itself. it's the support bracket for the mount. I see it broke on the bend. It may have fatigued at the factory. Just unbolt it and install a new one. Then check your shaft alignment.

Just curious. Were you getting alot of vibration. How did you discover it? Looks simple to change. Some are much more difficult I would think. Good luck
