Yanmar 4JH2e Temp ?

What should the temp gauge read on the Yanmar 4JH2 50hp from 1996. This powers a 40’ Beneteau Sailboat, currently the temp gauge reads 190 after warming up and running at 2,500 RPM’s. Is this correct? If not what should the temp gauge read. Thanks and please do email me on this: jeffrey54 <at> comcast <dot> net

I had a 1998 4JH2E on my last boat. Ran at 180 degrees at 2,800 RPMS.
cruising is entirely about showing up--in boat shoes.
