Yanmar 4GM
Hi all,
I have a 1990 Yanmar 4GM 50Hp diesel engine aboard my Elan and I am in search for any written (or electronic) data/manuals that can help me understand better and maintain my engine. If anyone has any clue where I can can get/copy/buy I would most appreciate it.
Thanks to all responders
Ron

Thanks
I am not shure myself. That's what I was told it is and I can't find any other inscription on it. It's a 50Hp engine as far as Elan have to say. The engine is the original from 1990. Is it the 4JH then?

I was guess 4JH. Perhaps that is why it is difficult to find a manual. Great engines, the 4JH. Had one and loved it.

Thanks Gordmay but.....
this is not a manual. It's just the cover page.

YES, it IS the Manual. Scroll past the orange cover page to the interactive index, then click on any blue Chapter Heading to get into the “content”.
ie:
Chapter 1 General: http://sagaforumet.com/yanmar-manual...kapittel_1.pdf
Chapter 2 : Inspecting & Servicing ...: http://sagaforumet.com/yanmar-manual...kapittel_2.pdf
etc ...
As I indicated, the manual is best viewed on a computer, of some sort.

Ron:
I don't know what you really want.
What we've linked you to IS the Yanmar "JH" SERVICE MANUAL.
