Yanmar 3YM30 vs. 3GM30 Fuel cut-off cable

To All,

I just replaced my Yanmar 3GM30's with 3YM30's.... the 3GM30 had a "fuel cut-off" cable at the instrument panel so I could kill the engines by pulling the cable-handle out and I believe kill the engines thru fuel starvation.

I have two cables flying "loose" now in the engine rooms.

Does the Yanmar 3YM30 have the same set-up ("connection") somewhere? If so, where is it located.

If not, is then the 3YM30 just a electronic cut-off at the instrument panel?

Thanks much for any help in this matter.

Electric only. There's a kill button on the instrument panel. It activates a solenoid that cuts off the fuel. There's also a manual stop button, but it's located on the engine, aft of the air intake.

if the solenoid shuts off the fuel (by zeroing the rack) then a cable can do the same thing, provided there is a lever available to attach it to.

Could you tell me if the 3gm30 and the 3ym30 have the same engine wiring loom / saddle please.
Thanks in advance
