Yanmar 3QM30H Parts and Info Sources ?

Hello! I recently aquired a boat with a Yanmar 3QM30H, and it needs a little tenderneass and love. Or maybe a swift kick.. I'm not sure yet.

Either way, I figure I'm going to need some parts. I am near Philadelphia, and spend plenty of time in the northern Chesapeake, but I would be quite happy with an online source that could shoot me stuff no matter where I happen to be at the time. If there are any experiences/reviews/ideas out there on who I should or shouldn't use, I'd sure appreciate hearing them.

Also, and more specifically, there is no temperature guage on this fine engine. There is an overheat alarm, but I'd rather like to know what the specific temp is. Without a service manual in hand, it's hard to say for sure, but I feel like I should be able to track down the alarm sending unit, and perhaps replace it with a different sending unit that would do more than just transmit an overtemp warning?

Also, I need a good source for an impeller. And probably other things. There is also no oil temp sensor that I know of, so that probably goes on the list as well.

At any rate, I'd appreciate any help or info you might be able to shoot my way.

Thanks!

(oh, and I'm looking around over at yanmarhelp.com as I type this.. neat site, though I'm still not sure if it has what I'm after.)

I have manual if you want. I had a 3QM30 but replaced it. Most common parts are available thru Torrenson. The one big item that is gonna be hard to find is the exaust manifold. If it fails...

Re: Yanmar 3QM30H Parts and Info Sources ?

Right on! Thanks guys.. I'll check Bayshore next time I'm in Annapolis. I do prefer to use the local guys, when I can. I was able to track down an impeller through Torreson.. nice guys, thanks for the link.

I did end up finding a copy of the service manual on the boat (under the cockpit lazarette, right where I would have left it, too). No parts manual, though.. does $35 through torreson sound about right?

Thanks again for the help/links/leads. If anybody is bored and wants to go for a sail, I'm just about ready to host!
