Yanmar 2QM15 won't start.
I started engine, warmed up, shut down. I went to town bought new racor filter and yanmar filter (engine mounted) came back to boat and swapped out filters, bleed the whole system. Won't start, bleed system again, being very careful, looking for any air, none, won't start. I have bled the system 5 times, still no start. I have a low pressure pump that gives about 5psi to the fuel system pre racor, I get good flow at every point of bleeding. Yanmar 2qm15
Any idea's?

I'd check the shut off lever first, make sure it went back to the run position.

Bleed at the injectors and then start looking for another problem, such as clogged injectors following your filter change? Air source OK?

I guess maybe, but I have never seen that, ever, not even one injector, but all of them?
You real, real sure the fuel lever / solenoid is where it's supposed to be, if manual, cable didn't slip did it?

Weird, it should have started with the remaining fuel in the HP pump alone. Yanmars are some of the easiest engines to bleed, you don't really have to bleed them to get them to run. There is something going on here. fuel shutoff lever is in the correct position? what about decompression levers? they're in the correct position too?

Small chance, but did you bleed by turning the engine over and possibly filling the exhaust with water which will give you lots of back pressure and make starting difficult or impossible? I learned that lesson the hard way. Good Luck. ____Grant.

no, used a 12v 5 psi pre racor pump. It turns over well. no increased back pressure. How did you resolve that issue?
this has me banging my head. It was running fine before filter change. freakin #^&@@^^$# boat.
Did an oil change yesterday, fuel filters today in preparation to sail out of here for a couple of weeks tomorrow. now this......

yes, checked and rechecked. 2 cylinder, 2 injectors, it could happen but the chances? very high I would think.

yup, this motor has always fired right up, never even had to bled before after filter change. 12v pre racor pump always provided enough to get fuel going. Pump is working well, good pressure when cracking fuel system anywhere up to injectors, but of course can't see injectors or if good spray pattern.

How dirty was the filters? Racors have that little metal ball in bottom of swirl separator that if a glob of goo broke off would stop the flow. Also did u change the o ring on the stem of the racor
