Whistling Fuel Funnel ?

I recently went to the 3 day diesel maintenance class given by Max Boring in NJ. (As reccomended by our own Gord May) The instructor suggested we get a fuel funnel that whistles when tank is near full. After considerable time searching the web I have been able to find this item. I asked a salesperson at West Marine and he told me if I find one let him know cause he could sell bunches.
Have any of you ever come across anything like this?

Haven't heard of such a funnel. But some vent devices will make sounds before venting or stopping liquid fuel.

The whistle fits into the vent line. See Fuel Whistle

These things are handy too for fuel vent lines:

No Spill Container

My boat has an undersized vent line which spits and spurts all during refueling - even from jugs. The whistle wouldn't fit but this little stick-on jugs stops diesel spill...temporarily fits over the vent exhaust...

A funel whistle?

We pulled up at a dock and this guy had one of those boathooks that you clip another hook with a line through it and you are meant to be able to latch your line onto bolards automaticaly....
Advertised in Boat Shows etc.

So I says: "Hey! You got one of them sticks!? Show me how it works!"

Well his wife races up and sits in the cockpit watcxhing as her hubby goes into the speil just like at the Boat Show - but Wife is already in Hysterics! Hubbie gets frustrated as he tries to make the dang thing work!
Wife KNOWS it wont work! Man demands the #$%%^&* to work! I crack up laughing and he is still at it while we walk away.

Moral of the story: Store the stick next to the whistlin Funnel.....

A whistle and an ugly stick, 2/3 of the way to a trio.

I tried the "Fuel Whistle" and it didn't work at all. When I refuel I put a small diameter plastic hose into the fuel fill next to my funnel. I stick the other end of the plastic hose into my left ear and I can hear when the fuel starts coming up the fill hose (a stethascope may be even better since you can use two ears).
