Where Do You Get that Diesel Air Intake Hose ?

It's about a 3 1/2" diameter hose that looks like dryer vent although slightly heavier. I would just omit it but seems it was important or it wouldn't be there. I have a Yanmar 3GM30F in a Pacific Seacraft 31.

Defender has never heard of it. I can't find it at WM. I can't find it in the search archives here or there. Surely other's have gone bad too. Any ideas? Thanks much.

Go to Home Depot etc. and poke around. Just because it's going on a boat doesn't mean it has to say "marine" on it (and cost twice as much).

is this attached to the engine?
can you post a picture?

I've never seen a 3GM30 with a 3 1/2" intake hose. This is probably something PS supplied for the bilge blower system.

My lady informs me that she has bought it at West Marine in the past. I didn't ask her how long ago "past" was.
I assume you are referring to the hose that ducts fresh air into the engine room. If not, then I have no idea what I'm talking about.
