Just a guess
1,2 or 3 cylinders ???
W = watercooled ???

I seem to remember (perhaps incorrectly) that some Lister's were air cooled (???)

Isn't there a name plate somewhere on the engine - should have model number and serial number????

Wotname beat me to it! Number is number of cylinders, ST is air cooled, STW is water cooled. Can't tell about the cooling from the photo, but looks like a 3, so ST3 or STW3.

LISTER MARINE
Model ST3

AIR COOLED
Specifications Power 30HP ( 22.38Kw)
Rated Speed 2 600r/min
Cylinders Arrangement/Number 3
Displacement 1 890cm3 (1.89L, 115.33in3)
Weight 497lb

LISTER MARINE
Model STW3

WATER COOLED
Specifications Power 30HP ( 22.38Kw)
Rated Speed 2 600r/min
Cylinders Arrangement/Number 3
Displacement 1 900cm3 (1.9L, 115.95in3)
Weight 705lb

And I'd guess water cooled from the picture, but not sure what the various hoses do.

Wow, two hundred extra pounds for water cooling! That's a pretty heavy 30 hp engine either way. Likely don't see many on carbon multihulls!

30 Lister horses are Clydesdales Saw one of these pushing a 65 ft houseboat in 20 knots of breeze.
