What is effect of O/B mounted on Starboard side?

I am considering purchasing a Pacific Seacraft 25 Mark II with O/B
mounted on starboard side just ahead of stern (no inboard diesel). Weight a little over 100 lbs. Wondering if anyone might know how such a mounting might affect sailing characteristics. I plan to use a self-steering windvane. Thanks in advance

Mine is mounted offset on the port side and seems to have no noticeable effect except if I forget to install the plugs in the cockpit drains I get wet feet due to the stern squatting when under power allowing water into the cockpit.
With the motor tilted up under sail there is no effect on sailing performance.

Have a buddy sit on the stern rail and go sailing. Probably have no effect, especially on that boat. : )

I assume you are talking about an Orion and not a Flicka, correct? I didn't think they came sans diesel?

The boat is a Pacific Seacraft Mark II, 25 ft. Not a Flica nor Orion.

My apologies, I always forget about that one and was thinking of the Dana, not the Orion. The 25 is not usually found with an outboard having the canoe stern. Would love to see a picture of how they setup the mount. As far as the weight - will not be a problem on that boat.

no effect sailing though stb mounted is usually for the " irish assembled" (left handed people) due to pull cord
