Well that's caterpillar out then.

I believe some of the vetus range use Hyundai base engines, I wonder what colour they are? (-;

Re: What about Mitzubishi?

I have a Mitsubishi S4L2 based marinized engine from Westerbeke, a 44b.

The actual Mitsubishi engine is great but I've had an inordinate number of issues with the Westerbeke side of things.

Currently at 960 hours. Cooling system, heat exchanger, starter (factory Mitsubishi part) have all failed.

Very dirty and weathered and in need of a lot of work. The broker made it clear that they would entertain just about any offer, but we were not interested in a fixer-upper.

We just looked at the boat from the outside about a week ago. Wasn't looking that bad anymore. Also the bottom looked like it got a fresh paint job. Less fouling than our own boat which was repainted in march this year.

Re: What about Mitzubishi?

Hi Paul,
by searching the Madif engine I found your post. I am also interested in the Santorin and would be glad for any kind of information you can give me on that boat.
Thanks
Siggi
