Westerbeke oil filter

Hello all, Does anyone know what Napa oil filter I can use in place of a Westerbeke filter. The motor is a 42bfour with the OME # 035828. I have tried to cross-reference this number without luck. I change my oil every 50hrs.

Russell, If memory serves me it is the PH8A but I am not 100%. Take the old filter to NAPA and be sure the rubber seal is the correct size and position. Chuck

I have the filter box in my hand, having just changed one on my W46, OEM#35828
The replacement Fram # PH2921 according to the catalog.
But check visaully against the OEM cartridge. I seem to remember than this filter does not seal correctly because OEM has a concaved plate for the female thread, and the Fram is not concave, and does not pull up tight on the gasket.
Please let us know--I need to buy standbys and the W/bekes OE are expensive.

I have some numbers that I got from one of the owners of these engines. Wix #51324 & Napa Gold #1324. I'm not sure of this, but just was trying to get a comfirmation from somebody else.
