Westerbeke model 38B Four - Base Engine?

We seem to have inherited a Westerbeke model 38B Four, serial no, 28589-D204 and I am trying to find out what engine this model is based upon so that I can source parts that may not still be available from Westerbeke and may also be much cheaper.

Starter is Mitsubishi, although I believe this means nothing!!! Many using Mitsubishi starters!!??

I have tried searching the net for this information but so far no luck?


Any Ideas?
