Westerbeke 60 Marine Diesel 1980

I require a thermostat housing top for my Westerbeke 60, it has three stud holes and a sensor in the top. Can anyone suggest a source. Thanks

No ideas for a source in Oz but if you can't find anything closer try Torresen Marine in the US.

you'll have great difficulty locating that part. Westerbeke has not produced a model named the Westerbeke 60.

In the early 80's there was a model called the W58, which may be your engine.
A quick search shows the W58 part from production date 3/81 forward is still available.

Hi Never Monday,

Hate to contradict a diesel expert but think you might have missed a model. A number of Pearson 424s have a W60.

According to the Torresen Marine website the W60 was made by Westerbeke from 1977 to 1980. I think the W60 might have been a predecessor to the W58 which is what I have in my Pearson 422.

I must apologize.
Westerbeke catalogs the web site poorly. Any way the part is NLA. It may interchange with a Perkins 4-154. I can't confirm that.

Hi again. Any idea if the W58 is the same block as the 4-154 and if so then possibly the W60 as well?

Thanks

If you can't track down a part you might go the the Pearson424 owners web site. A number of these boats still have the W60 engine and the members are pretty helpful in finding sources for parts. A few owners have also repowered and my have an old block available for a used part.

I don't believe so. There is a noted change in 1981.
It's a fairly simple piece that could be machined easily.
